The MERAJ Rapid Response Vehicle (MRRV) Series is a compact firefighting vehicle designed for congested locations where larger fire apparatus cannot enter easily. MERAJ developed the MRRV for urban streets, restricted access areas, small industrial sites and rapid initial fire response. The platform is typically built on vehicles below 5-ton Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) to maintain a small operating footprint.
The MRRV uses an Ultra-High-Pressure (UHP) plunger pump powered by an independent diesel or petrol engine. A polypropylene body and polypropylene water tank can be used to reduce body weight and maximize the available capacity for water and firefighting equipment. Tank configurations are available up to 2,000 liters.
Optional Dry Chemical Powder (DCP) and CO₂ systems allow the vehicle configuration to address different incident types. The Heavy Duty MRRV represents the highest equipment level within the compact MRRV concept rather than a higher GVW truck class. The configuration can prioritize maximum available water capacity, additional equipment storage and optional CO₂ or DCP firefighting systems while remaining within the MRRV's compact vehicle format. MERAJ lists MRRV vehicles below 5-ton GVW with water capacities up to 2,000 liters. Final equipment selection affects available payload and storage space. For higher-capacity municipal firefighting, the MERAJ Urban Fire Truck provides larger chassis, tanks and pump configurations.
